Don Melchor

Don Melchor is Concha y Toro’s icon wine, and Chile’s best Cabernet Sauvignon. At the foot of the majestic Andes Mountains, superb conditions for red wine grapes shape the character and distinctive style of Don Melchor. In the stony soil that lies underfoot, clay, lime, sand, gravel, and other stones lend Don Melchor its unique character, one that has been clearly been demonstrated over the years. In Puente Alto, Cabernet Sauvignon shows the fresh expression of red fruits mixed with mineral notes and graphite, resulting in a complex and diverse expression of its aromas. On its palate, it stands out for the great balance between its refined tannins and its freshness, as well as its deep concentration of flavours. A dense wine, with a persistent finish that can be aged for years.

Terrunyo

Based on the philosophy of terroir, an enological concept was started to find the block of the vineyard best expressing the grape varietal planted there. Today Terrunyo produces some of Chile’s best Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Sauvignon Blanc. Each wine is grown in key terroirs of Chile,  “Andes”, “Entre Cordilleras” and “Costa”. Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Andes zone in the Maipo Valley, Carmenere is sourced from the hot Cachapoal Valley in the Entre Cordilleras zone, and Sauvignon Blanc is grown near the Pacific Ocean in the Costa zone.
